Meilan is Financial Controller at Food Chain Enterprises. Meilan is an experienced accountant with knowledge in all-round accounting principles & practices and a broad experience in administration and business management. Meilan joined Food Chain Enterprises in July 2019.
Experience
Meilan graduated with a Degree in English Language and Accounting from Bejing University of Commerce in 1995. Having worked in China for several years, where she worked her way up from Assistant to the General Manager to Client Manager responsible for a team of six, Meilan came to the UK in 2001 to pursue her further education. She successfully graduated with an MBA in Tourism Management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 2003. After a period of working in Management roles and with 2 young boys to look after Meilan decided to pursue a career in Accountancy.
Skills
Meilan is an experienced all-round accountant with extensive knowledge of completing and submitting payroll and pensions, VAT and corporate tax returns. She is proficient in using Sage, Xero and QuickBook Accounting Software, as well as excel and HMRC system RTI. With excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude, Meilan is happy to take the initiative and face challenges head on.
