Welfare Of Animals At The Time Of Killing Regulations 2015 (WATOK) Training
New legislation concerning the Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing (WATOK) came into force on 5th November 2015.
The legislation complies with EU regulation 1099/2009 on the protection and monitoring of animals entering the food chain. The new legislation states that anyone handling live poultry or animals at the point of killing requires a WATOK proficiency qualification.
Food Chain Academy have trainers approved under the regulation to deliver the WATOK range of training to all animal species.
